Synopsis: Discovering Strength and Overcoming Guilt of Self-appraisal

During the course of caregiving, caregivers tend to focus more on their weaknesses than strengths. Thus, leading them to question if they are good enough in their role and may start blaming themselves for not being able to perform better for their loved ones. Very often, this results in the caregiver’s negative self-appraisal and their neglect in the importance of self-care.

In this interactive and engaging session, participants will better understand how by focusing on their hidden strengths and practising self-care could further help them in their caregiving journey.

Panel DiscussionTheme: Dealing with Emotions Arising from Caregiving

Abstract:

In the journey of caregiving, the well-being of caregivers is often neglected as they are often occupied with their caregiving duties for their loved ones. As a result, caregivers may carry with them different emotions during the different stages of their caregiving journey.

Join us at this panel discussion, where participants will be engaged through our interactive online platform. Hear from our professionals their views on how caregivers can better manage their emotions and take away practical tips in how to cope with the challenges of caregiving.
