CWA Online Counselling


The CWA Online Counselling service is specifically for caregivers providing care for an elderly with physical or mental disabilities. The service is provided free of charge for residents of Singapore only. This service is for caregivers over 18 years of age, unless arranged by the parent.

The CWA Online Counselling is a flexible, convenient and easily accessible counselling option for caregivers. Caregivers can communicate from the comfort of their own home, in their own space and time. There is no concern about transport, respite, privacy or costs.

With the CWA Online Counselling, caregivers can communicate with a counsellor at any time and a counsellor will respond at the first opportunity during work hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm or within 48 hours.

Before using the CWA Online Counselling service, all clients are required to read the Disclaimer and our Agreement prior to service being provided. The purpose of the CWA Online Counselling service is to provide support and counselling to caregivers taking care for an elderly with physical or mental disabilities. Our assessments and counselling are based on the information you choose to share with us. While our counsellor(s) will make every effort to assist you with the issues or problems you identify – you are in the best position to determine how relevant this information is to your situation. Services provided by CWA Online Counselling are not a substitute for face-to-face counselling or independent professional advice from your own or another health professional.

COUNSELLING AGREEMENT


Participation in CWA Online Counselling service you are required to establish your agreement to the following terms and disclaimer.

Client Record Details
I confirm that all information provided by me (the client) regarding my name, gender, age and place of residence is true and correct. If I choose to conceal my true identity from my counsellor, I will tell the counsellor, who may or may not choose to proceed on this basis.
Confidentiality
I understand that CWA Online Counselling will protect my private and confidential information by all reasonable means. CWA Online Counselling reserves the right to make a report to an appropriate authority, if necessary.
Emergency Situations
I agree that, if at any time, I feel, think or believe I am in a crisis a situation and require emergency assistance, I will not rely solely on CWA Online Counselling and will seek appropriate assistance elsewhere. (For example, SOS Helpline 1800-2214444).
Referrals
I accept that CWA Online Counselling counsellor(s) have a duty of care to all clients and that I may be referred to a service other than CWA Online Counselling if the counsellor(s) decide that they are unable to assist me.
Termination of Services
I agree to inform my counsellor(s) if I wish to terminate counselling. I also understand and accept that the counsellor(s) may withdraw services at any time and that in this case a reason(s) will be provided to me.
